About

Change is the only real constant in the artistic work of Arden, who toured Germany under the name MarieMarie until 2015. She showed that she is capable of reinventing herself and her music again and again, first as a trained harpist, then as a singer-songwriter with performances in various clubs and bars and in 2014 with her debut album „Dream Machine“. For this she coined the term „Folktronic-Pop“, which aptly summarizes her style between classical music training, eclectic ideas and modern production design. While her art is imbued with a certain elegance and feminine energy, it is never only gentle and deliberate. Between voice and harp there are also minimalist electronic textures, throbbing beats and cinematic arrangements on her new album „Arden“ (2021).  Arden’s new metamorphosis sounds like a creative liberation of an artist following her own pace and her own vision of what sound can be: release from the past, anticipation of what is to come.
